Hi there. Requesting prayer for my oldest dd who is a gymnast. She's been out for 6 weeks due to an injury, this week is her first full week back (she was going to practice and just conditioning, but now she's allowed to do everything). She has determined that she is now completely petrified of doing backwards tumbling. She can't do even the most basic back tumbling skills because of fear. We're praying with her, etc. Anyway....could you guys pray for her, too, that she could overcome this fear and get back in the groove? Thank you.

She's seen the movie and HATES it because she knows too much about the actual sport. LOL it was funny how she was just annoyed through the whole thing. Although, she's been told that the book is much better, so she does want to read the book. She's planning on watching "Soul Surfer" and start reading her Bethany Hamilton devotional again....she has been very inspirational for my daughter. As an update - she was able to do the moves on the tumble-trak today (a long trampoline type strip). And she said she did do them on the actual competition floor, too....but they were pretty sloppy. She feels A LITTLE better about it tonight. I think because she's been out of full practice for so long, she just needs to regain that confidence that she used to have. I hope. We'll see!!!! oh good. LOL My daughter is just starting in gymnastics and LOVED the movie. Guess she didn't know how unaccurate it is. I am happy that she is feeling better about it. Will keep praying
Oh, my 7 year old LOVED IT....she does gymnastics too, but is not a competitive gymnast yet....LOL....could be age, too. My oldest is almost 13.
I'm familiar with all that goes along with gymnastics and I feel for your DD, I will pray for her to regain her confidence and feel comfortable out on the floor again!
