Does anyone know of a full math curriculum that is similar to Keys to... series? Particularly in the way in focuses on only one function at a time, and uses simple illustrations to help explain things?
We are using the Fractions series to help him catch up to the place he needs to be in CLE math this year (he didn't cover much in fractions last year with another program), and he really seems to like it much more than the CLE.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks!

Thanks - I just checked that out... not so sure about it, as to do a placement test you have to buy it for $10. I don't have the extra money to do that, so I think we may have to skip this one. Sigh.... if I had a product I would make placement free... SMH.
Anyway, I appreciate the suggestion. I am also looking at Rod & Staff, BJU, and taking a second look at Math Mammoth. We had tried MM back in 1st or 2nd grade, but the way some of the concepts were taught, I just didn't understand as they were different than how I was taught. But, out of those 3, what are your opinions or advice?
I swear, math has been the most difficult thing to get a good fit with! :(

You could check Math Mammoth. It has different books working on the separate types of math, such as fractions. Don't know if those are full curriculum, though.

Math Mammoth has the topic books.

Have you ever looked at MUS?

Stephanie, I'm sorry...I should have thought to post this with my original suggestion...here are the placement tests for free online:

I haven't used Developemental Math yet, but I have ordered several of the workbooks for two of my kids. The school we order through hasn't gotten our stuff in yet. But, when I was searching for some extra help in math, our "educational guide", who helps in choosing our curriculum, suggested DM and she actually said it was similar to Key To... But, again...I can't say for sure since I don't have ours yet.

ETA: I'm not sure where you looked, but you can see samples of all the workbooks at CBD and also Rainbow Resource.

Just a bump to make sure you saw the link to the free placement tests. I'm really not trying to sell you on Developmental Math, LOL...I just didn't want you to totally disregard it thinking you'd have to pay for placement tests.

Oh thank you! I am just so broke, that even $10 is too much to spend on something that isn't a for-sure thing. I appreciate the link!!!
