The boys have actually really been into doing the time line. But I'm.. confused. The Early Egypt lesson is dated 3rd - 4th century BC. But it goes on the timeline between 2 lessons both dated 2000 BC. Wouldn't the 3rd - 4th century be MUCH later?

I got lost too. We only made it to Hammurabi and then stopped. I'm hoping the MFW timeline is easier to follow...

That would be before 2000 BC, right?

    MFW's timeline is like this:
    Creation
    Adam and Eve
    Cain and Abel
    Noah's Ark
    Tower of Babel
Uniting of Upper and Lower Egypt -3100 BC
    Pyramids in Egypt-2500 BC
    Abraham, Sarah, and Issac-2066 BC

Does that help? Somewhere I have a biblical history timeline saved. I'll try to find it!

    3rd -4th century BC is the years 399 - 201 BC. SO that's waaaaay after 2000 BC.

Gotcha... I was thinking 3000 BC because of the events. Wasn't really thinking in terms of the actual years...

I can't find the timeline I thought I had saved, but here is one I found. It looks pretty detailed. Hope it helps!

OK... So here's what we've come up with:

The date label on this lesson isn't accurate. All of the information in the lesson is about events that happened well before the 4th century BC. So ignore the date label and go with the dates in the lesson.

I wondered about this, too! I eventually just decided it was more of a typo and should have said millenia instead of century?

Okay, I'm trying to figure this out. Mine says 2575-2500 BC for the Early Egyptians section, lesson 11. That is wrong?

    NOPE!

That's right. I must have a different edition, because my lesson 11, in the little grey date bar with the lesson title, says 3rd - 4th Century BC. (Which, btw, my college Old Testament professor assured me is incorrect dating; you would write 4th - 3rd Century BC.)

Okay, I thought my brain was fried! I was trying to figure out what you all were talking about! History is NOT my subject.

I think mine is a first edition.
