The other day I was trying to explain a new math concept, and neither one of the kids was getting it. I tried everything I could think of, and it just was not getting through to them. About that time, I had to excuse myself for a potty break, and while I was in there, an idea came to me. So I rushed back into the kitchen and tried again and BINGO! Suddenly the concept made sense. My ds10 looked at me, looked back toward the bathroom and said incrediously, "What do you DO in there?" You just never know when or where inspiration will hit!
LOL.. that is great. The shower is where I get my best thoughts! I don't know why, but I go off into some other world and poof something great jumps into my brain.
I always need a break when I have explained things 15 bajillion ways and my kids still don't get it. Like most of you my inspiration usually come in the bathroom or when I shower. Maybe because it's the one place I get a few minutes of peace and quiet.
LOL....that's great! My inspiration usually comes at the oddest times. Today my son gave me an awkward five (where you slap hands), and I had an instant solution to teaching him the difference between parallel and perpendicular. What I've been trying to teach him for a month he learned in two minutes of car time. Whoot!
LOL!!! I can't even count the number of times I've shouted spelling words from the bathroom! It's the only place I can think sometimes ... even if it's only 15 seconds before someone realizes I've sneaked in there and finds me.
