I am still in total disbelief! I had a third interview with Target yesterday to find out it wasn't even an interview but a job offer! Did I mention I'm in disbelief lol?! This will be my first paying job since I left the Army 20 years ago. I am very nervous but know I can do it. Please send up prayers that I have a smooth transition. My son will be starting a job next week which means more on our family as far as helping with grands. Royce is a sweetie when his excema (sp) isn't acting up but it is another one to keep up with. Btw, thank you so much for the prayers!! On a side note - I am on my way to an ultrasound appt. Nothing like guzzling 32 oz of water on an empty stomach! I had a yearly exam several weeks ago and the dr wants to check on an issue she felt. She suspects it is just my uterus leaning to the side but wants to rule out a mass. Please send up prayers that that is all it is and that it is something that can wait if I need to do anything. I do not want to put off school or work. Thanks again to all my prayer warriors! Eta: Another prayer request - I have to provide my own khakis and red shirt and money is just not there right now. Please pray that this will also work out.
Congrats!!! Do you have a charity nearby that helps women with appropriate clothing for jobs? You can always try Goodwill and The Salvation Army, but there is a cost there. I believe they both have programs to help with jobs, too. Maybe give them a call and they can at least point you in the right direction? And praying for the ultrasound!!
congrats! my bil works for target and says the discounts are amazing! hope everything turns out well!
Congrats! I am so jealous! I applied for Xmas season 5 years in a row and not once got an interview. My experience is old, as well, but I keep hoping I will get in. Someone told me recently that employers won't even look at you if you haven't worked in the last 6 mo. So, that's great that you got an interview and hired. Check out Goodwill or other thrift. I always see khaki pants at the thrift store. Also pryaing your tests come out negative. Let us know what happens.
I found a pair of slacks I have that are darker than khaki but hopefully can tide me over. I did find out that Voc Rehab will provide help with 2sets of uniforms and gas until I get paid. The problem - I can't put in for that until possibly after Thanksgiving. I literally have $9 to last until the end of the month and my gas is on empty. Iamreally trying to have faith but it is really hard. I am stressing this so bad. I am nervous anyway lol because I haven't worked inso long but this gas issue is tearing me up. Wehave nothing to sell so that isn't anoption. I will be okay as of the 29th but please send up major prayers that I will have the gas to get back and forth.
