DD is working in Rod/Staff 6 Lesson 61 and we both have gotten more than one sentence wrong in the class practice A and in the written exercises A. We got #4,5,7 and 8 wrong. We got #8,9, and 10 wrong. When we both say the sentence with the 'wrong' word it sounds right. The 'right' word sounds wrong. Can someone explain this to me? If this was learned in a previous grade then we have done learned it since we did not start RS until grade 6. (ACE and DoDs school for 5th/6th grade) It TM just has the correct answer and I don't see the WHY it is the weird sounding say. Yes, to me it sounds weird. Here is an example of the one of the sentances:
It was (he,him). We said him and the correct answer was he.

Also can anyone recommend a site geared for middle school for extra English work? Not every lesson has a worksheet and sometimes it be nice to have some on hand for those days we are out and about and worksheets are better to take along than a bunch of books.

Well, I can't give you a grammar rule, but an easy trick is to switch the sentence around and see if it sounds correct.

It was he. He was it. That sounds right.
It was him. Him was it. That does not sound right.

Try the other sentences that way and see if it helps.
