I recently purchased Singapore Primary Math 1A and B. I'm very intrigued to read the teacher's manual and start my 5 and 8 year old in the program. I found tons of information on the interwebs when I started researching SM...however, now that i'm searching for info on Singapore Science, I find relatively little, and virtually no first hand accounts of what it's like. Anybody here use it and like/dislike it?

    Thanks.

I used Singapore Science and found it colorful and interesting but somewhat young-ish for my 7 & 5 year olds. In the early years, we read aloud alot to them, watched NOVA space documentaries and watched Magic School Bus over and over. We also did projects like volcanos with baking soda and vinegar. When I tried to "buckle down" and buy a curriculum, Singapore was way too easy for them. We kinda just used it as a read aloud and reading practice.

If you're looking for a Science curriculum, try Noeo Science. It's awesome! The kids loved it.

Thanks a lot. Singapore Math starts out very slowly as well....I purchased the first year for my eight year old but will probably use it for my kindergartner. I will try Noeo Science....but we've done kinda the same thing you have....watch videos from the library, etc. But the best thing we've done is back yard nature hunts.....we find animals, bugs, etc. One question leads to another and we do research to answer our questions. Weird how learning works like that. :D
