Thoughts? I started using it today and my kids enjoyed it. However I'm not 100% sure on the learning to read part in GR1 & GR2 (her version of PK and K). Anyone used this? Love that's its free and multisensory and biblical. Seems I will continue to supplement as just telling a 5 yo to write an H by drawing a line jumping to the other corner and drawing another line and the. Drawing a line in the middle probably won't fly with my boys...

yes, I began using it FOR the learning to read part actually. My current kindy boy was really struggling. I had tried two other aproaches with him and saw this site recommended on a FB group I'm part of and went to check it out. I figured it couldn't hurt to try. After only 12 of the reading lesson he's now broken through that block he seemed to have and today he even read a story outside of the ones in his reading lessons to me without panicking and pretty easily. I am super pleased. I was skeptical too because I was trying to teach reading phonically but phonically wasn't working my son. Now he has the skill to do phonically when needed but the sight words helped him build confidence in his ability to do it. I don't know yet what approach I will take with my next one but if phonics work for him I'll probably go that route but I'm a fan of doing whatever makes it click for the kids.

I'm going through some of the letter review with my 4yr old, there are a few letters he still didn't know the sounds of offhand, and so far I like it. We do other handwriting activities and other activities in general outside of it but I do like it and am super thankful for it!

Ok great! I saw it on FB too! My 5 yo learned to read in a similar way with a combination of baby can read videos and materials and just me reading to him and teaching him letter sounds, etc. I just worry that my 3yo will not be like that. I did day 1 & 2 of GR1 and he loved it. So I think we'll just keep going. He's young and it cant really hurt him at this stage.

My 5 yo enjoyed day one of grade one. I have yet to do the level L with him but I think he will like it. Saxon is kinda dragging for me right now so I'm happy to try something else. We are really just experimenting this year as I have to start reporting next year. Just trying to figure out whats gonna work so I'm not stressing this summer.

Wow, thanks for posting this link. I think I am going to be able to find lots of thing to use for my high schoolers. And, free! I may be able to abandon the Thinkwell AP Biology course that is just too much for my dd, and not have to invest more money.

I have it bookmarked to check out now and then, but I'm afraid it might be more computer time than I'm comfortable with at this early stage. She has a lot of great resources, though!!

Well so far my 3yo loves it. We are on letter D. I'm skipping over some stuff because I don't see the need to hammer on stuff he already knows (colors, shapes).

For my 5yo (first grader) I'm not thrilled with it. But that's just because we are already doing stuff that works. I'm still thinking about supplementing with it but maybe not until next year.
