If you live in the Denver area, feel free to PM me with information on co-ops or activities. I need some peace of mind over this and would love to know that there are good programs available to homeschoolers.
My friend lives in Denver and her children are active in homeschool co-ops and activities. I'll get more information for you.
I'm also in Denver and might be able to direct you to some places that have some information you're looking for.
We live in Denver, and while we are not part of any co-op, my kids do attend the Options program here. It is basically a division of the PS system, but the one we go to is run mostly by hs mothers. They have to loosely follow PS rules, such as dress code, holidays etc, but otherwise they are pretty independent. They have different sites, mostly (or all?) in churches. You come into contact with hs parents and children every week, so you can easily make friends and do a get-together or something. I will ask around for you this week.
I'm glad that someone from Denver was able to answer, because I asked my son and, having no family of his own, he had no idea.
Thank you! This may be a moot point since DH still hasn't heard back on the job, but I appreciate knowing there is someone whose brain I can pick a little.
I have a friend in Boulder. (I think she's still homeschooling... her kids would be preschool and like K-1st or so? I met her at a co-op when she lived here. Cool person!)
I apologize, last Friday I completely forgot that I had promised to ask for you. I made a note for this Friday
