And it was spectacular for the most part. It was the first time DD13 ever went to a REALLY large venue concert. And we ALMOST didn't get in!!! We were probably in the part of the line where about the last 200 people got in and then they started turning people away. SO GLAD! Would have hated to drive an hour to see a concert only to not get in....but we did get in. Our seats weren't spectacular but decent enough and we got to see the show. I only had one problem with the concert, and that was the speaker. For his presentation, he used clips from secular videos to prove the point of what the "world" wants us to seek. Some of the clips were actually offensive (not nudity, but not appropriate for the crowd for sure). The clips maybe lasted 45 seconds to a minute total (meaning there were 3 or 4 second clips from various secular songs/videos that totalled about a minute of that part of the presentation). I can understand it to some point because I believe the concert is geared towards mid-older teens....but, definitely there were younger kids in the crowd. Not sure I agree with having to show sin in order to preach on avoiding it. Right? Otherwise, it was a GREAT show!
Last year in St. Louis, my kids and I actually WERE the last ones allowed in! The lady slammed the door behind us and said the Fire Marshall was closing it off. So glad we got in since we drove several hours to get there. Glad you had an awesome time....and I understand about how secular things seem to be creeping in more and more to popular Christian events.
