We use Jump Math. My daughter is 5.5 and is doing the 1.1 book. The curriculum consists of two workbooks for each grade, and the teachers guides are online. There are also extra blackline masters practice sheets online. So...if you wanted to, you could just take a look at the teachers stuff, print out the free blackline masters and see how it goes. This is a canadian program though, so some of the measurements and money would have to be adapted. It's pretty cheap..the workbooks are about $10 each. Just another alternative!

I have used Real Math and my kids thought it was meh. Then we tried Lifepacs and they did well with them but I felt they were too easy. We have been using Saxon for the last 2 years and my kids are doing really well with it. My kids who have never liked math actually ask to do math first everyday because they like Saxon! Sometimes they even ask to do 2-3 lessons each day which of course I let them if they want to.

I have looked at TT and I have thought about switching my kids to them when they get to high school, but as long as Saxon works I am going to stick with it.
