We filed our taxes over a week ago, and today we found out that we are getting nothing back because of some student loans that went out of forebearance a month ago. I had talked to them and we had kept in contact, it's not like we fell off the radar from them. So, we talked today and they said that if we paid them $200 they can stop the IRS from taking our tax refund. We gave them our bank account number to take out the money in the middle of February, and then when we had given it and thought we were in the clear we were informed that it wouldn't be enough and nothing could stop it. We need a car, to pay rent, and some other loans that were due. As it is now, we will have to move God only knows where (because I don't think our landlords will be understanding even though we have never been late before), and we have no vehicle. We are 100% screwed, and it seems the only way to pay rent and utilities is to sell my Nonna's pearls and diamonds, and it's absolutally breaking my heart since that was my inheritance from her. We are absolutally at a loss. We just can't seem to get anywhere and we've been on the phone all day. Please pray that everything will be okay, and I wont have to sell Nonna's jewlery. We are very lost right now.
So sorry this was thrown at you all of a sudden. We rely on our returns for short term no-interest store credit (tires at Sears most recently). Praying for wisdom in dealing with everything in the coming weeks and months.
