Thank you for the prayers. This woman is unbelievable! She and her parents have been constantly making false claims against Ben's dad for over a year. DHS, police, and court appointed advocates have all investigated and cleared him on several occasions. A year or so ago, she went to a local news station with her "story" (while her parents had the baby in hiding just like this) and they ran a story about a poor mom who was just trying to protect her baby from his abusive dad. Well, she's gone back to them, calling from an undisclosed location, of course, and they ran the story again. It's so frustrating! They did no fact checking. They did mention that the dad's attorney said he had been cleared, but nothing about the POLICE and the JUDGE saying he was clear. Sorry for the vent, but it's so hard to sit back and not be able to do something. We just want Ben back. Thank you for your prayers. Keep them going!
Praying for the childs safety.. This is a sad situation.. The child is the one who is stuck in the middle.. My family is dealing with loss today too,, My sister is delivering her kids to her ABUSIVE and druggie ex tonight via court order.. Drug tests came back negative even though he DOES DO them.. And I could TOTALLY understand how this can happen.. It's not always how it seems.. Good mothers loose their kids every single day.. This could very well be a news story featuring my sister sometime in the near future.. I'm not saying that this mother IS a good mom.. I have no clue, but you can bet your butt if someone took my child I would run like the wind with them too!!! I've seen how police and CPS "investigate".. court systems are corrupt..
I understand why you are frustrated and upset because of your sister's situation. It breaks my heart to think of a mama having to hand over her children to someone like that...but not all moms are good ones. This woman is completely and totally fabricating her story. This is a GOOD dad. He loves his son. Has he made mistakes, yes. Would he ever intentionally harm his child, no. This dad has been through HE** fighting for his son, being accused and investigated, his name dragged through the mud. He has done nothing but take care of his son and fight for him. Good dads lose their kids too.
Oh gosh! I never meant to imply that he is a bad dad. Like I said, I do NOT know your situation at all.. I REALLY hope that you guys get little Ben back soon.. I apologize if I came across that way.. I shouldn't have posted anything with the way I'm feeling right now..
His dad had a meeting with US Marshalls and detectives yesterday. They said they have some leads they are following, but they haven't found them yet. They suspect that she has family that is assisting her. Their fear is that she will leave the state or even country with him. Right now, all we really know for sure is that she has left town. We are asking EVERYONE to look at his picture and keep an eye out. They could be ANYWHERE! Here's a link to the newspaper article again. Thank you. His dad talked to detectives again today and they have leads that she may be in another state with her boyfriend. They are following several leads. Thank you for sharing his picture-after a week, they could be anywhere.
Another state???? This is aweful!! She's probably lost ANY chance she may have had to even visit with him now.. Geesh!! Prayers for safety and peace..
Right now, she has two felony warrants for her arrest-kidnapping and failure to comply with a court order (not sure that's the right wording, but basically that's what it's for). It's so sad because when they find her, Ben will lose his mom. My prayer is that she will realize that it will be easier on her if she turns herself in and brings Ben back than if she keeps running.
Thank you for asking and for your prayers. We still haven't found Ben yet. They are still looking and following some leads, but haven't been able to catch up to them. His mom did contact his dad a few days ago, from a blocked number of course. Not sure the extent of their conversation other than that she doesn't plan to return Ben to his dad. We're still praying and sharing his picture as much as possible. Can't wait to see our sweet Ben again!
I just had to share the picture I just got on Facebook. Made my day! Ben is back in his daddy's arms. Thank you all again for your prayers and kind words. Our family is very grateful!
