Please say a prayer for 2 young ladies who are fighting for their lives right now due to flu complications.. One is a teenager, Tara, from my son's highschool.. The other is 26 years old ,kerri, cousin of my best friend.. Both are in critical condition and things are not looking good at all for them.. Tara just began her fight, Kerri has been fighting for a week now.. Kerri is now on life support.. I'm not sure of tara's actual status other than her situation is life threatening. This is a very serious situation and we need all the prayers we can get.. I know we have some prayer warriors here, so PLEASE join together with the other praying persons.. Not only asking for their healing but also for comfort for their families.. Thank you so much..
Praying for Tara and Kerri! May the Lord bless them and help them on their road to healing! I pray also for the comfort of their family and friends! As always, the Lord's will be done, but we always pray to keep our loved ones close to us here.
Update on Tara.. She is not septic as they first believed.. She was admitted into the hospital for pneumonia and that later spread and infected her heart.. Her heart has stopped several times.. She is now on a ventilator and in a drug induced coma.. Kerri is still on the ventilator.. Her chest xrays are looking better but she is still in a drug enduced coma as well.. Please continue to pray for these young ladies and their family.. Also pray that this flu epidemic will soon be over with no more fatalities..
both are still hanging in there. They are taking baby steps towards recovery.. Tana is now off the ventilator but Kerri is not.. Continue to pray for them..
Been off for a couple of days and just now seeing this but praying for continued improvement for both girls.
How are Tana and Kerri doing now? The flu bug that is circulating it HORRID! We've been isolating residents at work with the flu virus (try isolating an Alzheimer's resident who doesn't remember vomiting or the diarrhea - that's fun). It hit me with no forewarning what so ever early Wednesday morning! Boy !! Am I glad THAT'S over with.... I can't imagine what these two women have been through.
Tana is on the last phase of the vent.. She is awake and responding to commands.. She should be coming off of the vent today or tomorrow according to her parents FB page.. I'm not sure about Kerri, last I heard she was breathing on her own and was awake.. I haven't heard anything bad so I'm ASSUMING she is doing good.. I will try to find out about her and give an update.. I do have some sad news though.. I didn't post about this lady because it happened so fast, but a mother of 3 passed away yesterday from complications from this flu.. My son was shaken by the news yesterday.. He sent me a text during school that his friends mom passed away.. I'm not sure of the ages of all the kids but I do know there was a 4 year old along with the 17 year old.. I can't imagine loosing your mom as a child.. I lost mine when I was 30 and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through.. Keep praying for safety from this TERRIBLE flu!
Wow, praying for them all. I just seen this post today but I also know of a friend of mine's aunt died because of this flu... its pretty scary!
TANA IS OFF THE VENT AND UP IN A CHAIR!!!!! Still a long ways to go, but her parents say "we have moved mountains today"! Praise Jesus!!!
Tana is up walking!!! She will be moving to a rehab center soon.. she is now able to eat real food instead of getting nourisment through a feeding tube.. So it's looking really good!! Keep the prayers coming! She still has a long way to go.. But God has MOVED MOUNTAINS for this 17 year old!!!
Thanks so much for the update. Hopefully she will make a full recovery with no future complications. That is scary stuff.
