yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah~ would love to know if mom got smart or what but the main thing is he is home! YEAH
Yes, and did I mention that today is his daddy's birthday?! A wonderful birthday gift for him! I can't wait to see him (hopefully tomorrow)!
I really don't know the details of what happened. Apparently mom was in contact with an attorney who was in contact with US Marshalls. She had until yesterday evening to turn herself in or face even more charges when they had to come get her. She turned herself in yesterday afternoon. Because she had accused dad of abuse (she's using a state law that a noncustodial parent can violate a court order if they believe the child to be in danger as her defense), they had to take Ben into protective custody last night. He was interviewed and checked over by DHS, doctors, psycologists, etc today, all of whom found NO evidence of abuse-which we all knew, but it had to be investigated, and we understand that-so the judge ordered that he immediately be returned to dad. My SIL, MIL, and Ben's paternal grandparents were all there when Ben and his dad were reunited. My SIL called and told me that when they brought Ben in, everyone was sitting except for Ben's grandpa so that's the first person he saw. She said Ben took off running toward him yelling "PEEPAW! I LOVE YOU PEEPAW! as loud as he could." Then he saw his dad and the ended up on the floor together holding each other and crying. She said one of the DHS workers said to the other, "That's all the proof you need right there." So, so, so happy that's he's back where he belongs. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of this ordeal and Ben won't have to ever be turned over to her again.
Okay, I thought the other picture was the best thing I'd seen all day...until I got this one! Thank you all again for your prayers! God answered them!
Pictures speak 1000 words.. WOW!! THIS is the SWEETEST picture I've seen in a LONG time!!! He loves his kid and you can see that!!!!! I am so glad Ben is safely back home!!!
