    Mommies!

I am wondering if any of you have laminators and if you find them helpful? If so, do you have any brands to recommend or to avoid?

I want one! But, honestly, I'm not sure I can really justify the purchase. I just want it!

I bought a little scotch one, and IMHO, it is completely essential to me!! I use it to make paper dry erasable, making chore charts, weather charts, behavior charts, sewing cards, laminating special artwork or special papers, recipes, notebook pages...etc. I couldn't live without my laminator!!

I think mine was $20 at Menards, and I bought a big folder of laminate there for $15 for 50 sheets. I think it's very useful. Before I got mine I would use the school's industrial laminator...yes, I'm a pirate. (However kids aren't going to be going to school at the elementary school and the high school for long because they aren't accredited anymore) If you have the spare cash to get one, I suggest you do! :)

I have the Scotch brand one from Walmart (I think I paid $30), It works great and I love it! I have had it for 4ish years and never had a problem with it. I buy my laminator sheets from Sams Club. They have the best price for those.

I have a Scotch TL901 that I got during a super-duper sale at Amazon. It was less than $20. I use it equally for school, business, and church. I love it.

I have the Scotch one from Walmart, I couldn't live without it! I use it a lot, I have had it for 7 years now and go through a pack or two of 200 laminating pouches a year (I buy these at Sams for about $20 a pack).

I got the Swingline one from Office Depot using my Teacher Rewards points :) But you can get super cheap laminationg pouches from Amazon.co ($10 / 100 sheets) and free Prime shipping.

We have never laminated anything. I will use thicker paper if I need something to be a little more durable, but never plastic coat it.

I would be likely to use packing tape if I did want pastic coating.

I love mine, use it all the time - school, church, business and home. I laminate because whatever you laminate, it will last forever :)

I have one-the Scotch one that Amazon puts on sale for $16-$17, 2-3 times a year.

Love it. Considering I paid under $20 for it, totally worth it. I don't use it ALL the time, but the times I have used it have been invaluable!
