I tell them my kids are more social and less awkward than I ever was, and I was in public school the whole time.

I just smile and say it's a myth. I am confident that my children don't have socialization issues :)

I have never had anyone flat out "ask" me that question.. But they have made comments about socialization.. When we first started homeschooling my MIL said that she thought the kids should be with kids their own age:roll: A few weeks ago my daughters Sunday school teacher made a comment about how quiet homeschool kids are compared to other kids.. And how all homeschooled kids he knows is like that and it's because they aren't used to being around other kids  THEN Just a week ago in MY Sunday school class a former high school biology teacher told another homeschool mom there that she thought that homeschooling was bad because it kept kids from dealing with problems in real life.. It annoys me, but there's no amount of explaining to the "public school minded" people.. They just don't get it.. They don't see the whole picture.. And besides, I feel this is best for my child so we will continue on.. I don't owe anyone any explainations.. So I don't give any.. I just listen and move on.. Then come home and vent to hubby or you guys.. LOL.. And yes, my older two are in public school.. I HATE it!!!
