Well, spring has officially arrived here! And, thus, my kids just want to play outside!! So, we've changed the pace and we're totally enjoying a new direction.

The boys decided they want to learn about outer space. Since we've had clear skies lately, we've been able to do some star gazing and moon watching.
I've downloaded some lapbooking materials from homeschoolshare.com It's all free and it gets them researching and writing. (They don't even know they are doing L.A.!) So, the bulk of our schooling is around this lapbook study of space, then we throw in a couple of pages of math. My gr 2 guy is working on a story that he wanted to write. (Full moon tonight! DS wanting to write NEVER happens!). Then we've been doing a bit of nature study type activities outside, and everyone is taking turns reading to the little kids while mommy rests.

Since I'm 7 mos pregnant (and doc says I need extra rest), all of this change of pace has been really nice. So I thought I'd share!

Oh, and our preschooler has her own lapbook based on "Good Night Moon", also free from homeschoolshare - and very cute! She loves it.

    Blessings, and happy spring!

That sounds like a lot of fun! It is nice here in Florida too, we are moving into our new home tomorrow. Once we are all settled into our home I look forward to having some days like that.
