My 9 year old told me that if she could give me an award she'd give me an award for being the best smelling person she knows.

This explains why she always has her nose buried in me.

So...yeah, this doesn't really have anything to do with homeschooling other than that she's a homeschooler.

    :D

    lmao... that is too funny.

So what do you use that has her thinking you are the best smelling person on earth?

LOL! Who knows! I regularly shower and use deodorant daily. So....it could be the deodorant or my shampoo.

I'm trying not to focus on the fact that she probably knows a handful or two of people. And, I know she's never sniffed them. But...hey, in my life...this is a huge compliment for me....I don't get diddley from anybody else....so I'm takin' that award!

Oh, btw, she told me that if she smells something stinky that she always runs over by me and sniffs me and it's all better.

lol... maybe I need you to go to the flea markets with me each week. This one we go to has a building with a food stand in it... I don't know what they are cooking in there, but it always smells sooooooo bad lol I told hubby today, I will not be going into that building any more.

Here is a funny for you... Rylee just said "Mom, why are you smiling like that?" I said because I read something funny online.. she said what was it.. I said another homeschool mom said all homeschooled kids smell bad, so she went to Reagan and said "You smell bad" hahahahaa

I think it's funny that she immediately had to tell her brother that he stinks. Typical sister thing to do.

I remember loving the way my mom smelled. She did smell nice, but without realizing it at the time, as a child, her smell was comforting to me.

Do you remember "Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo? I use to use it (though it may be WAY before the time of many of you, lol!) I was actually working on a machine one time. It was jammed, and this guy was standing behind me, kind of working over my shoulder. And he actually said how good my hair smelled, and what did I use on it. I was kinda embarrassed when I told him! So then I went to France, and the one guy in France really liked it. I actually left my bottle of shampoo with him. He signed my autograph book with "To a girl whose hair really terrific smells." LOL!

Awww...that is so sweet. You know...I really bet that my dd feels that same comfort. She loves snuggling up to me. In fact....this is going to sound really weird....but she tells me quite often how much she misses nursing because it was such a comfort to her and relaxing. I mean...how does she even remember that? She hasn't nursed in 6 years. Well, one thing is for sure....I'm not going to push her away when she wants to snuggle. I still clearly remember when my son used to want to "huggle" me all the time (yeah...I must have smelled really great back then too  )...a few years ago he still wanted to give me a hug before bed. He definitely doesn't ever want to huggle anymore.
