I have been a member here for a long time. I mostly read due to being a little shy. You ladies have always inspired me and given me such wonderful insight. For that I thank you.

My son is 11. He absolutely hates reading and writing. Last night he had a note book and told me he wanted to play "Facebook" with me. I just let him take the lead. He would write me a message and I would write back. This is huge for him as reading and writing do not come easy to him, hence the reason he dislikes it so much. This went back and forth for almost and hour!

I am so happy and just had to share. :D

    That's awesome!

I'm all in favor of whatever works and the notebook/facebook seems like a great idea!

Yeah! That's one thing great about homeschool: a child who takes a little longer to get it, isn't ridiculed. My son is a smart kid, but struggled with reading and writing when he was young.
