I found this website and sat down with my 1st grader to do some of the games and activities. It has some great Science themes: human body, animals, solids liquids gases, magnetics, etc. We did the games/activities together, although if your child is reading, they can do them alone. It's basically like little experiments on the computer. I liked doing them with him because I was able to break it down a little bit and explain to him what was happening in each experiment. He reallly enjoyed it. And this is the kid who hates anything if he thinks we are doing "school", so I have to be sneaky I'd say this would be good for 1st-4th grades maybe, although we have not done every experiment yet so there may be some that are more challenging. Check it out if you haven't already! http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/
Make sure to click on games if you are looking to do the online experiments. The experiment button will take you to hands on real life experiments
There's another one out of the UK, I need to find the link again, I used to use it a lot when the kids were younger. Also used it with a coop class we did last year. Hmmmmmmm.....if I rediscover, I'll post here....
Awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing. I am constantly amazed at how many amazing things are out there online that I have not come across. So glad people share!
HaHa, thanks for sharing! It's really hard to find science materials online. Maybe I didn't find the right way before. :lol:This is really helpful and amazing. DD loves it! For science, DD is using beestar. The texts include 10 quick questions. It's also a great opportunity for me to teach her advanced concepts. Not bad. You guys can also have a try. Lisa
