My name is Wendy Good, so the GoodMother username is not intended as a slight to other mothers, or an ego-boost to myself. After many years of struggling with infertility, my husband and I were blessed with our son, John, in 2010. He is three now, and we are dedicated to homeschooling him for many reasons. I like to be prepared, so I am here to learn all I can as soon as I can in the attempt to reduce the redundancy of "new-homeschooler" mistakes. It's worth the attempt, right? I am a stay-home mom. I love to crochet, am learning to knit, and read way more than is good for me. My dad always said if I ever worked in a bookstore it would be like a drunk working in a bar. I say that ignorance is expensive, and time spent learning is never wasted. I also sing with my church's worship team, and I assist in the 3-4 year old boys Sunday School class. I am here to learn from other people who have and are doing homeschooling. I am so thankful that this opportunity is available to us. Thank God for the freedoms we do have and let's use them while we still can.
