Maybe I'm looking at this wrong.. Somebody enlighten me.. My son went to the cardiologist and had a 6.5 hour doctor appointment of which MAYBE an hour was with the doctor the rest was just waiting.. Then we were supposed to have a stress test and the nurse is supposed to call with the appointment.. It was a week on Thursday since he had his appointment, and we have yet to hear anything.. I've even called and left a message on her voice mail.. NOTHING.. I made my son an appointment with our primary care physician which we have changed to recently.. I plan to give her the run down of what all has gone on and talk with her about getting a referral to another pediatric cardiologist I've been told was amazing along with a neurologist.. I'm not one to complain, I just go with the flow most of the time. But this time I'm DONE messing around.. We have been pushed from one doctor to another in the last year and still have no answers.. And after sitting in the last appointment for that long, and now no return call for the stress test, I'm thinking this doctor is just wasting my time.. Not feeling very confident with him.. My son was uncomfortable with him as well. I would REALLY like to have this issue figured out by the beginning of this next school year so my son can resume sports.. If we don't have an answer I'm not even going to allow him to try.. And I hate that.. He excells at sports and I hate that he is having such a hard time.. He's feeling much better now that I've brought him back to homeschooling.. As long as he's not getting together with friends and playing sports he's feeling back to normal.. But as soon as he gets active all that goes out the window.. SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE!!!

No, you are being a good mother :) I don't mess around when it comes to my kids health either.

My youngest is small (ok very small) for her age, since she was born. And we have been through two pediatricians. We finally got one who did not spend the entire visit talking about her weight gain. I would bring her for an ear ache and they would just go on about how much is she eating! After we went to an Endocrinologist and found out that she is perfectly fine (via several tests: blood, urine, stool, bone density x-ray), we switched Pediatricians. Now when I bring her in for a cold, we actually talk about the cold and not her eating habits. LOL

So don't give up. There are plenty of doctors out there to choose from. Don't stop till you find a good one.

And God bless him, I pray he will be able to get back to his life soon.

My ds17 had urinary problems... I was not happy with the urologist we were seeing as it seemed he just did not care or address the problem. After the second ER trip, with my son crying in excruciating pain, I had had enough. I very carefully went back to his normal physician and explained my concerns and asked if he thought I should see another Urologist... he agreed and referred me to a different Urologist group. (He explained that was important when you are dealing with specialists.) I did have to sign a waiver with the new group that I would NOT return to the other group. It took more time, but the new Urologist did discover the problem. (which I dont believe the other ever would have.)

I do know that you have to handle things delicately when moving to another specialist...you dont want to burn your bridges down the road.

    Just my two cents...

Met with the dr today and went through all the symptoms he has been dealing with. She said he definitely needs to go to a cardiologist so she is referring us to a different one.. Might take a while to get things going because they have to get the records and such before they can get the appointment set up.. I asked if I could do anything to help and she said I could see if they would mail the records to me. Said it might be quicker if we did it that way. Too late to call today so tomorrow I'm calling to get the records and test results from the cardiologist and the endocrinologist.. Hopefully we will get in and get this situated before school starts..

Praying for records to be sent quickly, an appointment to be available right away, answers to the real problem to finally be found and treatment to get this thing fixed once and for all.

When I first read this last week, the first thought that came to my mind is: Is there such a thing as being impatient when it comes to our children and their health? I can't imagine it. Hope you get some much needed answers/solutions in a timely manner
