Does anyone else wprk full time out of the home and still homeschool your kids? I work full time graveyard, then come home, teach school, and go to bed in the afternoon. My husband is a stay at home dad, so he watches the kids when I go to bed, and takes over whenever I have to run errands or take someone to the Dr, or just plain need to take an occasional nap in the morning. It's not the ideal situation, but financially, its what we have to do

I can relate, but we only had the one DS that was homeschooled from fifth until done. My DH was a stay at home dad for awhile, and had his own upholstery shop for awhile. I worked full time, with an hour's commute tacked on each end. I was a school social worker. I left lessons to be done by them during the day, but most of the time they weren't. So I did hs after work in the evenings, weekends, summers and other school holidays... DS decided when he was ready to go take his GED and he passed first try. I wasn't done with him, but oh well.

Now I'm getting the opportunity to school his older son along with some Other People's Kids here and there. DS has gone back and forth over the years about whether homeschooling was a good thing or not, but he and his wife finally decided last year that Grandma School was better! I can't wait for his younger son to be old enough to do Grandma School too! He just turned 4.

I started homeschooling when I was working about 60 hours a week. I carved out 3 homeschooling hours in my day that was untouchable. I pretty much worked, homeschooled, and slept. Dh did everything else. I worked in my home though. I wouldn't have been able to keep it up long-term though. Maybe 40 hours a week would have been doable.

I work 40 hours. DH works days, I work evenings. We never see each other, but one of us is always home with the boys.

I work part time from home. My husband is completely neurologically disabled. He can contribute nothing to the managing of our home or care/raising of our daughters. I must provide a great deal of care to him. Thankfully he receives disability income to support most of our finances.

So, although I am (stuck) home most of the time I am basically on my own as mom and head of the household. It's a tough road some days. But, I absolutely love homeschooling!

My husband works full time. I am self-employed and work from home. I have began to homeschool my son. It gets tricky squeezing learning into our busy schedule. I usually just take his cues on when he is ready to do learning stuff and try to get him the computer for at least 20 minutes a day. He's almost 4, so I'm hoping that as he gets older he I will have more control over the learning schedule.

(((HUGS))) 2fromtheheart...that's got to be tough!

For all you ladies that work from home, what do you do?? I sure wish I could find a little part time work at home. I've looked online but have no idea what is a scam or not.
