Ok so lately the majority of our time has been spent in the car. We are constantly going. So I've been investing in some CDs for the kids. So far I have two that I REALLY love and wanted to share them with you. First is God's Top Ten by the Nilssons (make sure you get the right one, there is other God's Top Ten titles out there that is not the same!) It teaches the ten commandments in such a fun way. We listen to it over and over again haha.
Also we have loved Beethoven's Wig. So funny and introduces children to symphonies and famous composers. We enjoy it.
We've just about worn these two out and I am looking for more. if anyone has anything they absolutely love, please let me know! I'm going to order Radio Wayne as well. I've heard great things about it.
Suggestions can be secular or christian, but preferably educational in some regard. Thanks!!

I don't know how old your kids are, but for little ones, you can't beat Raffi!

We buy Maestro Classics. You can get the CD or downloads. Also, if you like them on Facebook, they post all kinds of ideas there for making your own instruments and such.

Not music....but how about the Jim Weiss storytelling cd's? I've heard good things about them. I'm planning on getting a few to try.

It's not completely educational. BUT, I do think some recreational time is great and also "teaches" as well. But, our kids and I LOVE OTR (Old Time Radio), google OTR and you will find tons. On a whole though beware you don't have to "buy" most of it, as it's out of copy write and most of it can be found free all over the web.

Stories of the Texas Rangers are TRUE stories are kids like. And they think Superman is just funny! I like Blondie, and the Couple Next Door, as well as The Bickersons. Ripley's Believe it or not minutes are true too, and a fun addition! at otrcat website he has at least one episode per a series that is a free download to see if you like that series or not. He does charge for his cds and some may be worth the 5 dollar charge, but on the whole you can find most of them for free with OTR trading groups. But, at least from his site you can get a feel for what series you and your family would like best.
