So, while we are on break I have been able to pick a few things to watch that I normally don't get to... one has been Let's Make a Deal. The kids are getting as addicted as I am..lol How can I make this school so we can watch it every day once we start back up? I wish we had a DVR so I could record it, then I wouldn't have any dilema today.
We don't have tv/dvr at school, but if we did, I'd sure be tempted to make Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire part of it! I don't care so much for Wheel of Fortune, but I've heard some people say it helped their kids with spelling... Even Pyramid can be educational...
Oh yeah, I can see tons of educational value in all of those too.. but then in all honesty I can see educational value in EVERYTHING even Spongebob
Lets make a deal teaches critical thinking... making the right choices in life is critical! They do have to learn to make split second decisions.. you could do this once a week, have the kids dress in costume, let them make the choices by writing on a 3x5 card and see what would have happened when they reveal. lol Or you can watch it for a week, then play it at home with school work! When they do not want to do school, as most kids have a day or two that they do not, play "lets make a deal' and let them choose the box or the curtain? you could have school in one or the other lol or clean your brothers room, something not so much fun lol
Hi! I thought you may be interested in this "Let's Make a Deal" for kids. http://teacherideafactory.blogspot.com/2012/04/lets-make-deal-skills-review-game.html
That link is great! My kids will love when I implement this. I may have to sit on it a while, it will be the hit of our new school year I'm sure
Thanks, I will keep you posted on other links! With my Drafting Online class, I am working on a free Geometry lesson that includes PDF worksheets and 14 short videos, soon I will be posting a link for everyone. This will give home school parents a chance to see how I run my Drafting Online classes and students can get a better concept of math by using computerized drafting.
