    Thanks for sharing! My fav is #10 (get your feet wet gently). We've been doing the reading curriculum for a little over a month because that was the only subject I had. Now I feel like I'm very familiar with it and we have a good groove going. Math just came in so we're going to have to get used to it, but I'm glad we just happened to introduce one subject at a time. By the time our "official" first day comes, I'll just have to add in the rest.

    Great article! I like the first one, don't make your homeschool look like school. I see so many people set up a school room with desks etc, when all you really need is a blanket and a sofa. (Oh and a craft box too!)

    The beauty of homeschooling is that you're absolutely wrong. :eek: Everyone is free to do what works best for their family. Perhaps all YOU need is a blanket, but we use desks and textbooks, and we rarely need craft supplies. Does that mean my kids sit and write for 8 hours a day? Heck no. Some days they don't write at all, and some days we don't use books. But we prefer textbooks and desks, for sure!
