So the sale has about a trillion items in it and I am overwhelmed!! In order to help one another find the true jems post what treasures you have found here! I let you know what I find once I commit myself to sitting here and actually making choices! So many options!
I'm interested in the Novel Idea units and the Activity Bags and also the Build Your Library Curriculum. There are probably other gems between the top and Novel Ideas but I have skipped most publishers because we only use secular content.
I grabbed the math games in a bag, science in a bag 3, and several Magic Tree House Novel Ideas and Pockets of Time. We're doing US this year and I bought the ones that go with books that happen at historic USA times. I got a few other things too for the younger ones and unit about the United States Government.
I got a state history unit study, and a human body unit study bundle (had to add each one separately to get the Pay What You Want Price). So glad I looked and saw that I had a credit I didn't know about!!
I narrowed the search by putting in an age range (age 8 - 10 for us). Still there were like over 2,000 items just in that range...so it took me all yesterday afternoon to look through it all. Unfortuntely I didn't get to order til this morning and some stuff is now gone (like their activity bags). So, if you think you want it, you better get it and not wait around. I got a couple Tags of Time. The 3rd grade Math Mysteries by Hilary Lewis as well as her Science Investigations Notebook. I got "All ____! A Fun Study"...fill in the blank with owls, snakes, frogs, and bats. Also "Understanding Animals Orangutan". "Human Body Copywork & Fun" books 1, 2, and 3. "Hero Tales of American History" and a whole bunch of the Math Galaxy riddle books plus they have one spelling book called "Spelling Word Jumbles". Thanks Sommer for telling us about this!! I hope they'll do this again sometime. ETA: Just in case anyone wants to know...the Fun Study books are really nice. I went back and got a bunch more. I know my daughter will enjoy these (and they won't require too much printing...most of it we'll just read off the computer)...I think we'll do 1 a week...I'm gonna put the titles on a slip of paper and put them in a basket or something and dd can pick one a week...she'll love that. The Hero Tales doesn't work. When I went back to get more of the fun study books I got Hero Tales again. It still didn't work (file not found). I also got the Daily Bird Bundled Set. That comes in 15 separate downloads, but only 5 worked, the rest said file not found. What I got is really nice and colorful though. The Hilary Lewis books I got are really colorful and nice. The Math Galaxy books are ok. They are kinda "old school"...like an old video game look to me....but we will use them. I got a couple of freebies while I was at it: The Case of the Jogging Gingerbread (a Hilary Lewis Mini Math Mystery), and Skip Counting Drill Sheets.
I'm kind of upset, I had some things in my cart, closed my computer, came back and opened it and poof, they were regular price. I removed them from my cart, went back to get them at a price I could afford and they were gone, no where to be found They were something I have been eyeing for a while actually and was so happy that I could afford them... then poof, gone! Oh well, I will live I guess.
My cart seems to have emptied itself out too. I have no idea what happened! I might try again..... ugh.
I didn't have any trouble, but I did notice in their Facebook page that others have. One suggestion was to make sure you are logged in before you put items in your cart. There were a couple of other suggestions regarding limiting items purchased at one time. Maybe you can get what you need!
I just got an email saying one of the servers malfunctioned and to try again. I'm not sure if that's why you were having problems. It's worth it to try again!
I snagged Knowledge Box Central's packages that correspond with Apologia's High School courses. So excited! Picked up a timeline and a planner, too. I felt kind of guilty, though, almost like I was stealing! It made me think of when you go to a garage sale and the prices aren't marked. I hate that! lol
When the sale started on Friday, there were some specific items I wanted, they are things I can not afford but have really thought about for a while. That seller must have pulled those specific items during the day Friday, because some of her stuff is still there, but the specific things I would love to be able to afford were not. I did have issues on Saturday where I had to download somethings a few times to get them to work, and I have some things I bought that I haven't even bothered to download, I figured I would work on that this week when their servers were calmer.
Poor Currclick. Their servers probably imploded from the demand this weekend. I was able to get a few things on Sunday morning, but it pretty much came to a halt by Sunday evening. I really appreciated the sale, though. It helped my budget and it also informed me of new publishers that I may not have noticed otherwise. Definitely a score.
