Homemade deodorant -- it WORKS!!!

    Patty - Does it leave marks on your clothing being that it is a lot of oils?

    It does, depending on the fabric, how much you apply, and how much oil you use. I pretreat my blouses by dipping the underarm area in homemade clothes soap, and it comes right out each time. My friend dresses in fine blouses, and she was concerned because she uses a lot of oil in her deodorant. She pretreats with a bar of Zote and a soft toothbrush, and the Zote takes all oil stains out of her clothes nicely. Then, she machine washes her blouses. I notice oil stains after about four wears or more, but I honestly noticed this with store bought deodorant as well.

    Oh, I can not speak for the recipe on this thread, but I find that a LITTLE goes a long way. So the less you use, the less staining your blouses will have.
