If you have a moment, please lift my mom, Naomi, up in prayer. She was admitted to the hospital last week with what they initially thought was congestive heart failure, her blood pressure was 230/102 when they admitted her. However, the tests did not indicate CHF, and we were relieved. Mom has been unable to walk for over a year, so they sent her to a rehab facility directly from the hospital hoping to be able to work with her on mobility. She was there for 24 hours, became unresponsive, and was sent back to the hospital. This time, when she arrived at the hospital her blood pressure was 90/60, which is an anomaly for her, because her bp is usually high. They cannot figure out what is going on, and are having a hard time stabilizing her bp. Also, please pray for my MIL who lives with us. She fell a few days before her 90th b-day earlier this month and still refuses to go seek medical attention, even though she has been taking pain meds since the fall. She also has Parkinson's and we've seen a marked decline in her health, so much so that one of my children decided to use her as his inspiration for his poetry writing today: Every single day she's shuffling, That's what my grandmother does all day, I wish we could get it muffling, So we don't have to hear her shuffling, From the winter to the middle of May! It is good that they can make light of the situation (I guess), but she does need prayer, and I pray that she will decide to go see her dr. soon. --Michelle
