We are supposed to be starting school TODAY so I purchased the Time for Learning program for my daughter until her actual curriculum comes.. I've heard it was a great program and my daughter loves learning through games and videos so this will be a good suppliment once we get going on our school.. Can anyone tell me anything about it that will help me get it going smoother?? Does anyone here use it as their curriculum? I'm liking that it keeps track of progress for me.. Wish it were accredited and this cheap.. That would solve a whole big problem here when I place my daughter in public school a few years from now.

If you're talking about time4learning.com, I was wondering about it myself. Hopefully someone who is familiar with it will pop in here. Let us know how it works out for you.

I have used it with my ds6. I love how you can print out all the lessons they have completed and the quiz scores. As for making it smoother, yeah, I can't help you there. I really liked it, and it has some great lessons on there, but, ds just sort of picked whatever he was in the mood for that day, did a lesson or two and was ready to move on to something else. I felt like he was tired of it after a couple of weeks, so I canceled. May pick it up again once we are housebound for the winter. For math, I like Starfall much better.

Ds9 worked on math using Time 4 Learning this afternoon.. She liked it but it was a little bit difficult to navigate.. I'm going to spend some time tonight working on scheduling it.. If I understand right, you can pick a schedule and even set a timer for however long you want them to work on a subject.. I hope it works out at least until McRuffy gets here..

Yes, I think if you spend the time to get it all scheduled, which I did not, it would work out great. I just let ds get on and choose for himself, so, that was my own fault.LOL

I've been looking at the free lesson demos. They do a pretty good job of explaining high school math.

We are eclectic here, and we use time4learning, my boys like it for awhile, then ask to do/use something else. We use it 3 to 4 days a week. I like it, but sometimes feel disconnected from what they are learning.
