I would love to be able to keep the teacher to student ratio 5:1 but if I did that then tuition would have to be out rages my idea ratio i want to have is 10:1. That is two certified teachers to 20 kids, I would like to start out each school year with at least 25 because I would look for one to three to leave.

I am so worried about keeping tuition low because the area I am looking at has a desperate need for better education and at the same time has a very, very bad economic problem that is only going to get worse.

I went to a alternative high school. It was not one room, but was fairly small for a inner city high school. (it was about 10 rooms, with 175 students).

They had a limit of 15:1 but most classes were closer to the 10:1 range.

They were all classes with varying ages/grade levels.

AND they encouraged students to help each other, while the teacher may be having to teach something more intense one on one.
