Can/Should Christians celebrate Hanukkah?

    sorry, I did think Christianity was about being nice to others and respectful to others.

    I wish Christians would realise they believe in the same god as the Muslims do. And the other way around too. Then maybe they can stop throwing bombs on each other :/ different topic, though, sorry.

    I can't see why Jews would be offended if a Christian celebrates Hanukkah, I can't see why a Christian is not allowed to celebrate a celebration for the same God. So I don't understand your friends comment that it's culturally inappropriate.

    I'm not saying it is culturally inappropriate. But it MIGHT be SPIRITUALLY inappropriate. And Christianity IS about "being nice to others and respectful of others." I believe in being nice and respectful to all people, but that doesn't mean I must accept what they say as truth. I expect people to be nice and respectful to me, but that doesn't mean they have to accept/agree to everything I say.

    sorry, it was Blizzard who was the OP saying her friend said it was culturally inappropriate.
