OK...so this isn't really homeschool related.......although, you could say there is strategy involved. The google doodle today is a Dr. Who game with 6 different levels....you collect the letters to spell GOOGLE. It took me 37 minutes to get through the levels. Good thing today is a Saturday. It sure didn't seem to take that long though, it was so fun....and my dd helped me strategize. Maybe later today I can get through it in half that time!
Even if you're not a Dr Who fan (I'm so not, watched 10 minutes of 1 show and HATED every second of it) today's google doodle is fun...and kinda awesome.
Josie...you should have given it more of a chance. I wasn't overly crazy about it in the beginning either...but it got better as it went along. I liked each new "traveling companion" better than the one before (I liked Donna better than Rose, then I liked Amy better than Donna...). In fact, each time there was a new doctor I thought I'd hate the new one....but then the new one grew on me and I didn't want to see him leave. In fact, I got quite attached to Amy and Rory and that Dr. It's sad when it has to change again. But, then it's ok because the new ones are likable too. Anyway, it really does get better as it goes along. But, glad you enjoyed the google today too.
I know nothing about Dr. Who, but had fun with the Google Doodle. First time it took me 38 minutes, second time 12
Awesome! Your post inspired me to give it another try to see if I could beat my time. My second time I finished it in a little over 14 minutes. My 10 year old did it in 12.5. What a great google doodle this was...my favorite ever so far! I hope this game is going to be somewhere online so we can still play it from time to time. My dd is so sad that it's going to be gone.
Batman's Wife: It is here http://www.google.com/doodles/doctor-whos-50th-anniversary Eh, it's just not my type of show. I only tried to watch because of all the hype.
Oh goodie! Thank you so much! Now, when I have nothing better to do, I'll see if I can beat my 12 minutes. My daughter will be thrilled that she can keep playing it!
Josie: I can't get into it, either. DD17 made me watch a few and I could barely sit through it. Although I did enjoy David Tennent. What a cutie! DD is a big fan.
Agreed. I was pretty much near tears when he had to leave.....and then he turned into Matt Smith, which didn't make me too happy. But, Matt definitely grew on me. Now when I see Matt, all I think of is "bow ties are cool". Guess you'd have to see it to know what I'm talking about....
Not big fan myself, but the kids really like this stuff. I ordered a set of those silly stickers for the back window of the car that have parents, children and pets etc, in the shape of tardis'
