It was 73 degrees here today! I was running errands in a short sleeve t-shirt, stocking up in preparation for an ICE STORM! I don't like ice storms!!! We are in Arkansas and a winter storm warning has been posted effective tomorrow evening through Friday evening. The grocery store was so busy! Just mention the word ICE, and there is no bread or milk to be found anywhere! LOL Stay safe everyone in the affected areas!
stay safe! it's cold here today (it's summer), but getting ready for some 30C days again. Not sure what that is in F. I got the heater on in Summer. it's crazy.
I actually planted bulbs yesterday. We're going to be moving into my mil's house sometime soon, so I had transferred some of my plants from here to her place. I had dug up some bulbs that I REALLY like that are hard to come by, and also bought some crocuses, but then it turned cold and they didn't get in. So yesterday Faythe and I was able to plant them. My men are out hunting, and due to come back on Saturday. But the storm is suppose to be worse to the south, where they are. Faythe and I are scheduled to go north to Bowling Green University Saturday for a special school visit. It's not suppose to be bad that way, but I've warned her that if it hits hard here, we're not going.
Last Christmas was like a blizzard to us! We are under an ice storm warning now! Yuck.... Guess I'm out to buy more milk. What is it about milk???? Oh, I had better grind some coffee! I have a camping coffee pot we can use on the grill... can't go without coffee! There will be a holiday atmosphere around town today...
My mom teaches at a community college in TN, and they have already cancelled classed for tonight and tomorrow.
Schools are closing around here tomorrow. All we have so far is cold rain. The weather guys keep saying the freezing stuff is headed our way. Around town today it was like black friday!
I just got in from having dinner with the ladies I use to teach with. We only were there for about an hour; usually we sit and talk for about two! But they wanted to get home before it got bad. So far it's wet, and that's it. But I'm home now, Faythe is baking Christmas cookies, and we're going to watch Sound of Music. Not going out again!
