We need prayer. I have not been on here in a while well because life has just been so busy since we took over pastoring this church. but I need you ladies to pray with me about something. I really don't have anyone I would want to know this but you ladies here... (I know you will not judge my feelings)... my husband works a full time job, plus pastoring... the church is having money issues going back(still) from the previous pastor. the church has been able to pay their bills, just not us.. (which we don't really care). Anyway, my husband needs to work to support us.. THis week he has been offered a job at a ranch outside of town for three dollars more than what he is making now... it sounds awesome really it does... but we would have to move out on the ranch and drive into town for church services and such. the drive will be a long one.. (mostly because you have to go around, and not a direct shoot to it) 45 to 55 mins we have been told! I don't think the driving will be a problem for us, we do that anyway for other things.. (piano lessons, youth rallies, shopping, etc) . i just want what is best for our family.. and i want the church people to understand why would we need to move away from them. We have been praying about what to do to help the church out and then this is placed in our laps... We go out to the ranch Wednesday morning to take a look at it and talk some more... The man and wife running the ranch seem to be good people who are willing to work with us for church things... just pray with us...... i tend to worry about what people think more than my husband does..
I pray that God's will for you family will be clear. I pray that he will bless you all. If the church cannot support you, they should not be spending much time thinking about your finances, or how you spend your time. It seems to me that they do not have a dog in the fight. As long as you are living morally, where and how far away is not there problem. When they provide you with a parsonage or a paycheck, then worry about what they think. If you cannot spend as much time at the church, for free, then delegate it to some other VOLUNTEERS. Deacons, or Elders come to mind. They can serve the widows when you are not there.
