6th grade son and I have no idea where to start!

Trying to get started after pulling my son from 6th grade middle school. Right now, looking for basic daily schedule ideas and times to dedicate to subjects. I really could use tons of help. Using Spectrum workbooks. My son struggles with math but is pretty much on target with other subjects. Any ideas?

Wow.. this is an old post! Welcome Jodilyn.

Honestly, you are probably better to start a new thread so people see your question first since many don't read all the responses.

In my home, I never have focused on amount of time per subject per day or anything of the sort. We work till whatever needs done, is done. Some days that is all day long (and all evening too) some days it's an hour or two. Ok, I do draw the line, some times work just needs to be moved to the next day... or the weekend or the kids own free time if they were off in lala land instead of working.

I do not recommend RS after the first year. My daughter who is now in 9th grade and has been studying Japanese for 3+ years really got bored with Rosetta stone after the first year and it was work getting her to to do it for 2 more years. She has been doing more advanced work since after the first year. We would recommend Japanese form 0. which is a workbook based program.
