What Version of Rosseta Stone. They update it every couple of years. Also, can you sell it off. Don't they have a installation process that "uses up" the license number so it cannot be installed more than a couple of times?

How much? I actually need German 1 for my DD9

Vantage, you might want to check into that because I believe that is true. I've heard that you can not sell Rosetta Stone. And, if a person does buy a used one...it won't work. If this is true, I feel bad for Christine...but I wouldn't want someone spending money on something that will never work for them either. There was just a "vent" about RS over at WTM and it just goes to show me that no matter how good their product may be...I would never buy their product...their "policies" really stink. And an fyi...be very very careful where you even buy a NEW one from. There are a lot of RS scams out there (not RS fault...but nontheless makes me want to completely stay away from them).

For what it's worth, I don't think Rosetta Stone is worth the money. We did it originally on-line free from the library, but then they discontinued that. I THINK we actually bought it at one point, but it wasn't user-friendly for me. While (if I remember right) you cannot legally sell it, you can "gift" it once to someone. (I "gifted" it to someone here, who then decided to make a "donation" to my homeschool!) Rachael's friend used RS for several years; when she took college French, she had a VERY difficult time. While she had no trouble asking where the bathroom was, and commenting on the red car, she had no idea how to conjugate regular verbs!
