I found this free online planner and thought I'd share. I have used Homeschool Tracker for years, but it recently crashed for like the 4th time (have to recreate everything!) This has way more available than the free version of HST.

There is also a print version for $15. I watched the video, and I think it it the most practical planner I've seen for homeschoolers. I don't want all the "extras" like meal planners, chore charts. etc. in my planner, so I've never been tempted to buy one. I might need this one though!!

Thank you for sharing! I'm setting mine up right now so I can see if I like it. :)

I've been playing with it all day. I love the Lesson Plan part. My only complaint so far is that it is S_L_O_W. That could be my terrible internet service though!

Bringing this up because I knew we had talked about planners and I chose the print version the upcoming year.

I just setup a free account too. I really love this! Even though I've entered in a lot of info into Homeschool Tracker, I think I'll enter some info into here and try it. My only complaint is that you can't print off their assignments for the week. Also, I'm curious how it'll handle scheduling the lesson plan assignments - it looks like you can't denote days off of school, so will I have to manually assign an assignment each day and manually not assign on days off? If anyone knows those answers, let me know. I'll play with it in the meantime. Very very nice, and for free!

Wow. The page says you can print out by the week or the day. Make reports/transcripts. And it's a gradebook, too! And a database for your library! Ima hafta play with that.

Linda, I couldn't figure out how to print out by the day or week, so I gave up because I use that feature on HomeschoolTracker all the time. I'll have to go back and look again, but if you figure it out will you please post the instructions on how to print by the week? Under my reports menu, only report cards and transcripts were available. Thanks! :)

The "hard copy" planner came today.

    WOW! I'm impressed!

My well planned day cost 26.00 + shipping

A Simple Plan was 20.00 plus shipping (I added sticky notes and bookmarks and the total with shipping was less then 30.00)

Well Planned Day is about 1/2 thick. A Simple Day 1in.

A Simple Day has pockets on the inside of the front in back covers to hold papers, The Well Planned Day, does not have pockets.

A Simple day has reinforced tabs for general information, each month (with year ex July 2014 or June 2015. ), Well planned day does not have tabs.

A Simple Day offers a "planning" section with a "weekly plan" for 6 kids, yearly overview (for 6 subjects for 6 kids)

A Simple Plan: Each month starts a Scripture, things to do, special activities supplies needed and a blank reading list, then continues with a 2 page monthly "overview" page. After that you get into daily planning: 6 blank subjects areas with spaces to write for 6 kids and a "notes" section.

A Well Planned Day has a 1 page monthly overview page, an article, 6 shopping lists. and then the daily planning (Subjects are pre-printed: Bible, Math, History, Science, English, and 1 1/2 "blank" subjects for 4 kids.

Both books have an attendance record: Well Planned Day is after each "semester". A Simple Plan is in the "Student Records" part.

Well Planned Day has "report cards", A Simple Plan does not.

Laura, you have to sign up to get past the "intro" page, so I probably won't.
