How old is your daughter and where are they going? Do you feel comfortable with the family otherwise?

It would depend on several factors...her age and how HONESTLY comfortable I am with the husband separate from the wife and how I felt about the family as a whole. I'm really hoping none of my children get into babysitting...my mom never let us do it growing up... I was mad at her at the time because it's easy money ...but he reasoning was solid... I get plenty of diaper changes when I had my own family...I learned to work office jobs instead and I had a much better time than my friends who babysat

That sounds like a wonderful chance! They must think highly of her.

I have been doing child care since she was a baby! She has grown up with extra babies in the house.. so I know she can do it. I have not met the husband personally, My oldest has and my husband has. I know my dd can take care of herself and knowing that my husband will be there Wednesday and then Friday helps me to know if she needs anything she will have him there... Its just the thought of letting go.. she really wants a job but I don't feel comfortable letting her get one working at the fast food joint in town or the convenience stores around here ... thats all we got.. LOL

You won't die. LOL. It'll just feel like it for a while:) But yeah, you do need to let go. She will be fine! I totally feel for you. Elle is at orientation right now and it's like a horrible preview of life without her around...LOL! I hate it...but I'm also SO happy for her and SO proud of her:) You'll feel the same way, and it'll get better.

Let it go ... let her go..... lol, Ya I know the feeling, it will get worse as she gets older! Let her go on this trip your dh can check in on her that is awesome! And she gets to see if she wants to follow in moms footsteps and who knows maybe she will want to become a Nanny who does this as a living type of job in the future? Imagine the possibilities!

The fact that Daddy will be there part of the time would be help me to let her. I take it the wife is going, too?
