Allow me a shout out for xtramath.com
This program is free as can be and is really proving to be a very useful tool in our household. It tracks your child's progress in a variety of ways that take some figuring out. Now that I understand the system, I can say....I like this alot. I can check my son's progress from my work. Great way to check up on mom and make sure she is doing the HSing.
The program also seems to remember which ones he got wrong and feeds these back to him. It's very effective. I am very impressed with his progress.

I should add here that I also purchased a subscription to Quarter Mile math and was disappointed. The program is extremely primitive. The graphics and programming seem like they are from the Windows 95 era. that was a bust IMO. anyone else like it?
I actually find the concept quite promising. Someone should convert this to a webapp.

Cool! I was wondering if Quarter Mile Math was any good. Mine has been doing Xtramath for a while he is improving slowly but surely!

We are using xtramath, too. I like the repetitiveness, although DS is on the fence about it. But I see the improvements from week to week, and we are sticking with it!

We just started homeschooling and my dd1 is taking Pre Al..and I've found most of her mistakes are in the basic stages...My sister told me about XtraMath and I LOVE IT! I make all the kids do it every day...and I've noticed their scores are going up every day! Someone just mentioned QM on a fb homeschool site..and I didn't even like their website...I think we'll stick to XtraMath until it stops working :)
