Ok.... google helped. She used the Man From Nantucket to guide her. Funny, I remember doing the same thing in 5th grade, wish I remembered what I wrote about. There once was a girl who was homeschooled She thought it was great and that it ruled Said she finished her math Before taking a bath But her mom was not easily fooled -by Rylee Reagan looked at me like I had 3 heads when I suggested he try.
Well, both limericks are wonderful, and I don't think I can choose between them. If both moms can send me a PM with name and mailing address, I shall arrange for both budding poets to receive a tablet.
I told Phillip he missed out, and he said, "Oh, I forgot about it!" LOL! Actually, this mom is kinda glad he did forget! As my limerick said, he's spending too much time with the computer, and the tablet would have only added to that! Congratulations, girls!!!
Thank You Steve. Abby will be thrilled! I can't wait to tell her when she gets home from Lego League this morning.
Abby and Rylee had a great time In coming up with a great rhyme Young ladies, we cheer you, For it really appears you Let your creativity shine!
Thank you Steve! That will make her day or maybe even her month. I hope this encourages her to keep witing. She is very artistic, she comes up with elaborate characters all the time but says she can't write. She will draw them, color them, cut them out, make them 3D but says it's impossible to write about them. She can do more than she gives herself credit for! Thanks everyone else for the encouragement. She was smiling from ear to ear when I called her to the computer to see.
Yay! What fun for the girls and what a generous spirit. Steve you are a very nice guy. I hope the young ladies enjoy the tablets and continue to write.
