Honestly I think my DD needs more help with spelling that is fun and interactive. I need help too. Does anyone know of any GOOD spelling software out there that can take her back to the basics and move forward to get her caught back up?
Not software, but have you looked at All About Spelling? We are using How to Teach Spelling with the How to Spell workbooks as our guide. I have my 4th and 3rd graders both in book 1. It requires me to put in effort planning but it's working well.
Have you tried spellingcity.com? You put in your own words and there are games and activities (I haven't been there in quite awhile, so I forget).
Essentialskillsadvantage.com has spelling lessons...it is free for one child. I just let my two children share the one account, since they can both do the work for their grade level. It is really helping my son with his spelling.
Thanks to you all! I am trying all about spelling it just teaches different than out phonics taught so it is a bit tough. But I think we will get through it. Thanks again!
I have used spelling city but my dd gets tired of the games quickly and doesn't seem to pick up the words. I will check out the others!
