I am so stressed out. I currently homeschool a 14 yr old and 16 yr old and have a 2 yr old. I also work full time out of the home from 2pm to 11pm. My husband is a stay at home dad. I primarily do most of the homeschooling because I like to. My husband runs errands and takes care of the kids when I work, which has been working out great. I am changing jobs to make more money and have way better insurance. I will be making almost 1/3 more money. Right now, I work 45 to 50 hrs per week and still get 2.5 days off a week. My problem is the new job is Monday thru Friday from like 7:30am to 5pm. So that means less time with the kids, which I hate. I am going to change the boys school time from 12:00 to 6pm, so they can have the morning off and I can work with them a little bit in the evening too. Dad will take over the brunt of the homeschool work. If my youngest doesn't take a nap, cause she refuses, she then falls asleep at like 6 or 6:30pm. So when am I gonna spend time with my little one? If my husband can get her to take a nap, then she can stay up later, but that doesn't happen often.

Hmmm......not much to say here. Looks like your role in HSing is going to be limited to checking and grading. Not much hands on teaching.

50 hours is 5 10-hour days. How do you do that in 4.5?
For 20 years, I worked 8-430 M-F, with a 1-hour drive time each way most days. It's not fun, but it was necessary. I touched base and had discussions of schoolwork with DS afternoons, weekends, holidays from work (I worked in the school system, so I had Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter breaks, and about a month in the summer). It wasn't ideal, but he passed his GED first try.
Get the baby up earlier and she'll be more amenable to naps in the afternoon, and therefore staying up later to see mommy?
I wish you the best, sweetie! Don't let it stress you out; just deal with it. I'll pray for you.

I would not give the baby the option of napping. I understand that some children quit taking naps at an early age, but even then you can insist that she take a "rest", even if it's only for a half-hour. And often you will find that, if you can only get her to sit still, she will fall asleep.

Let the baby sleep late into the morning and then stay up late with you. This will give your eh some down time to spend with the teens.

Right now, the baby gets up between 7 to 7:30am most days. Every blue moon, she will sleep past 8am. Even though she won't actually nap, we do make her take a rest period for 2 hours. She will lay in bed looking at books, or watching Minnie mouse, or just laying in bed and we tell her every 5 min to get back in bed. It's tiring for me, but not for her, most days. Today, she took a nap with me on the couch. She is a ball full of energy. We even try taking her to the park for an hour before nap time to let her run around and play, and then sometimes she will nap, but again, not often. Waking her up earlier might work - like when I get up at 6 or 6:30am. Will have to try that. Right now, I work Sundays at 2pm, and then my days off are Friday and Saturday. So when I get off work Thursday night, I don't go back to work until Sunday afternoon. I have to be at work at 2pm, and am supposed to get off work at 10:30pm, but often am there for 30 min to 1 hr later or more . Like on New year's eve, I got off at 11 55pm, so almost 90 minutes over time. Sometimes I work 12 or 13 hrs in one day.
