    Hello all!
I am a new homeschool parent. My dd is 13 and in 8th grade we transitioned out of public school last year and switched to online public school curriculum and we did that for the remainder of last year and continued with it till now. My dh and I decided to completely homeschool my dd because she struggles with reading and writing and has fell behind her peers. My son who is in high school will continue with the home online school but we are switching programs as he has discovered he is lacking many credits due to moving around into different school districts. It is probably important to note that I am in the military and work full time. My dh stays home but I will be doing much of the school accept the bible study and most of the science stuff as I am not great with that. It is an exciting time here in my house. My dd is excited about school for the first time ever well since kindergarten anyway. She helped pick out some textbooks yesterday and some supplies. We have decided to do much of her history lessons using novels, movies, and exploration rather than boring old text books. I am excited to teach her at her speed and at her level using resources that she can relate to and enjoy. It is great to be here with all of you as well.
