I thought it would be great if we shared some of our favorite free on-line resources. :)

    Here are mine:
http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/ one of my absolute favs. Love the kid-friendly language in the lessons and worksheets. Nice section on the human body systems as well. Adore this one for LA lessons.
    http://www.softschools.com/math/worksheets/
http://www.ezschool.com/EZSheets/Writing/Capitalize/index.html popups on this site, but decent resources
http://www.msnucleus.org/membership/k-6.html Meaty science, but with some tweaking, the information and activities are nice.
http://www.kidzone.ws/ favorite site for word families
http://www.handwritingworksheets.com/flash/printdots/sentence/index.html love this site for making copywork

    Misc:
http://www.worldbook.com/typical-course-of-study.html by grade, good for baseline of what you could teach when.
http://www.poetry4kids.com/poems These are truly funny kids poems, reminiscent of Shel Silverstein (different author though!)
http://en.proverbia.net/shortfamousquotes.asp Great famous quotes (I use sometimes for copywork)
http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/paper/hundredschart1.pdf direct link to the 100's chart
    http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/math.htm cute math games :)

Alright, I'll try, not sure I can list them ALL...but I'll list what I can remember off the top of my head!

www.starfall.com - all three of my kids learned to read with this program. And all three of my kids read at least two grade levels ahead. Was it the Starfall? I don't know. But...I think it was! :)

www.worksheetworks.com - I like this one for all the customizable printables you can do! Handwriting, maps, etc. everything!

www.learningpage.com - all sorts of stuff. You have to become a member, which is free, membership gives you access to a lot of stuff. I LOVE IT. This site is connected to the AtoZ sites...so you'll hear when they're having their freebie weeks.

www.handwritingforkids.com - all sorts of stuff for handwriting including animations on teaching the formation of letters, all sorts of worksheets for handwriting.

www.sheppardsoftware.com - all sorts of free online learning games.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/ - online typing teacher. So awesome. My oldest types really well now, and my middle is learning as well as my youngest!

http://www.glencoe.com/sec/literature/litlibrary/ - this is mostly upper elementary/middle school. It's literature study guides for all sorts of books. I've used several of these with my oldest.

http://www.childrensuniversity.manchester.ac.uk/ - all kinds of sciency stuff. It has games and printables, it's got little movies to watch, etc. It's fairly neutral on it's stance between evolution/creationism.

http://www.noetic-learning.com/mathdrill/index.jsp - Math worksheet generator. There is a membership fee for the stuff beyond the freebies - but it's $9.95 a year.

http://www.classicsforkids.com/ - Online Music stuff. Very cool.

I think that's it for now. If I remember more, I'll let you know!!! :)

Huge list of free links on our website. I generally included notations with each link so you know what it is like. I see some of my favs are listed above. And some I haven't seen. :D I would like to say I was really impressed too with sheppardsoftware. Its one of the few accurate geography content sites I have found for Canada. I am going to be using it a lot this coming year as we study our country in depth :D

Thought Elevators Review :Thought is a belief or notion made by intuition or occurrence unexpectedly in our brain. Once in a while, you don't control your brain, or even you often have negative thought of life. What's more, now, you wish to enhance your idea and control your brain

I second BearCubMama! I stumbled upon Educents on my Facebook feed and found a lot of great freebies, also purchased the Life of Fred beginning reader books from them and my daughter is loving them!

I third this! Hip Hop is the absolute best!

Does anyone else have solid resources? A lot of this thread looks outdated. I'll try and add some of my own to this thread eventually.
