Today was homecoming at our church. On Wednesdays the youth and children have been learning to sign Jesus Loves Me while they sing it. There was a reading by two of the kids first where the other kids and the congregation responded "let the little children come unto me." So after the reading, the kids started to sing and sign and it went great. Later the preacher announced that one of our member's mother had died yesterday. I felt so bad because she was deaf and I knew that must have been strange for the church member to see the kids signing today. He and his wife were sitting toward the back so I didn't see his reaction. During the lunch his sister in law, our church secretary, came over to me and my sister and said that song was the first song the man's mother had taught him to sign. He cried when the kids did it but felt like it was a message from his mother. I got all teary eyed but I am so glad he liked what the kids were doing and that he felt his mom there today. Beth
