Not that I doubted I would get it. But it just makes me feel so much more relaxed knowing I have it in the home. I feel as if I can breath again and actual let the kids out of the house during the day. I know kind of foolish, but Yay! one less worry
woohoo! congratulations! you could make copys of it and stick it on t shirts for all the kids to wear while your out in public LOL jk!
I felt so OFFICIAL when we got ours. I know we weren't any different than before the mail came that day but it was a big deal here too. Beth
 I know it was a little corny. But I was very excited about it. I went and called all the family I hadn't yet told we were homeschooling.
We don't receive an approval letter. When I go in and fill out the form (names of children, ages and grades and my signature---that's it!), she stamps it with some official stamp and the date, makes a copy of it for me, and that's it. That way I get it all over with at once, and don't have to wait around! I'm not good at waiting, so I can imagine the relief and excitement when your approval got to you!!!
Aurie, Did you have to pick a school name? We did and I let the girls pick it. They talked it over with their older sister, Katie, and decided on Sloan Academy. We had lots of rules to go by to pick the name so certain things can't be used. I thought that was dumb but anyway they are happy with what they picked out. They even picked school colors and they decided to be the SUNS. Whatever that means. I guess if they ever decide to form a sports team or something. Hmmm. What team only needs two players? They picked green and yellow or gold for their colors. I just let them run with it. I wanted red but it is their choice. Such fun. I love homeschooling SOOOOO MUCH! Beth
No we didn't have to pick a name, but it sounds like fun to have them do that. As long as it doesn't turn into an arguement
