Is there a way to prevent the "subscriptions?" I don't need to be notified of other's posts on a thread I have posted on, but I can't seem to disable the option permanently, even when I click on the box to do that. Or does each thread have to be unsubscribed every single time I post on it? That's so time-consuming! Thank you in advance.

Ok...I think if you go to USER CP then go to EDIT OPTIONS you should find a place that says MESSAGING and NOTIFICATION go to DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE and change the setting to NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION.

Now, I think that means you won't get emails from ANY threads you post on. If that is not what you want, you will have to unsubscribe from each one every time.

    Hope that helps!!

I've done that option, I think I would drive my self crazy if I got an e-mail every time I made a post and someone responded!

Yes, I finally figured that out a while back, but I keep getting "subscribed" to every thread I post on. What does that mean? Pardon my illiteracy!

on your subscription list you can check the "notification" box for the ones you want to change and then use the drop down list to change how you are notified about those threads. I have a few on instant notification And some on weekly and some on no notification.

On the bottom of your e-mail notification it give you a link to to unsubscribe FROM THIS THREAD. That way you can drop out of a particular thread, but you've not changed your user CP options and will continue getting notification of your OTHER threads.

A dummy email address will result in bounced emails coming back to this server and the email provider that you use will think we are sending spam. Please use the instructions Hoosier Mama provided. You need to turn off the option in your USER CP, then unsubscribe from all threads. You can do that by simply clicking on the link in the email that you are receiving, but there is also a location in the User CP that allows you to do that. Thanks!
