I took the plunge and put a bid in on the complete set of curriculum through SOS. It includes...if I can rmember correctly....math, science, history & geography, bible, and language arts. My ds and I are very excited about it. The complete set sells normally at $300!!! My bid is for $33 plus shipping of $10.75. We'll see what happens!!

Try not to bid up too high until the end of the bid time! How long until this closes? Did you put in a high-end bid?

I hope you get it too! That'd be a great Christmas present if you won the bid! :D

My high bid is $40. I will wait to see what happens and then if I need to make a last minute change to my bid, I will. I figure I won't go over $50. They hav so much available on Ebay for SOS, I know I can get a good deal.

    *crossing fingers for you*

We use SOS and really like it a lot. It is a great Christian program and I use it as our core curriculum, filling in with other things here and there. What I really like is it doesn't always have to be done on the computer; you can print off their lessons in full, or just their worksheet problems or just the vocabulary sheets and take them to go. It does all the work for you, too, as far as grading and planning.

Anyway, I hope it works out for you guys, I am definitely a fan of SOS, good luck!!!

I don't know anything about SOS. How does it compare to Lifepacs or are they totally different? Thanks.

Beth, there is a thread called "upper level math" that Jackie started. There is info there about SOS. It is in this same section (homeschooling).

Thanks Leslie, we are pretty sure we want to buy some of the lifepacs for next year but I don't want to pass up on something that might work better. I will go look.

I was wondering what grade you are looking for? My friend has a few she might want to sell. I could ask her. I think they are 6th, 7th grade? I will ask next week.

Prairie, several of those I've bookmarked, but there were some "new" ones for me, too. When I am searching for a particular item, I use them ALL until I find it! Thanks for giving me some fresh places!

6th and 7th is exactly what I need!! But 7th for sure because we would need it for next year. I would like 6th now, but don't really NEED it since we are in the middle of 6th grade now. Ask her if she would be interested in selling them. You can pm me to let me know. Thanks...that would be great!

Try using auctionsniper, it will place the bid for you 5 seconds before the end of bidding. That way even your competition who is right on top of it have no time to react to your real bid. I have received some hostile emails from people who I outbid this way though.

That sounded just like an ad... just so you know, I have no connection with auction sniper, only used it about 15 times and in fact I never even paid for it because I kept switching email/ebay accounts (you get free snipes upon signup and I got more by "referring" my other accounts). But it always worked perfectly, from the technical perspective, and sometimes from the underhanded perspective as well.
